Update!! February 2, 2007

Bella is doing very, very well. We just love her so much. She comes when she's called, she has learned to be amazingly well mannered, is pretty reliable with her potty training, and has overall been easy to train. She does occasionally bark at a passing jogger (our front doors are glass French doors, so she can see out), but she stops if we tell her no.

Her allergies seem to be under control, although every so often she throws up at random. She takes her medication faithfully and has been for her first checkup with our vet. She's a smart little girl! She understands things quickly, and she's quite a strategist. She has learned how to outmaneuver Alex for toys, for example. She and Alex have learned to be best friends. They wrestle and play about every night and when Alex is done, she quits trying to engage him. She still has a lot of energy but she's not hyper like she used to be. I can't imagine a better dog than Bella.

Bella

Bella has learned to come when called about 75% of the time, and she and Alex have learned to be buddies. She is sweet and easy to get along with, has calmed down a little although she is still energetic, and while she's still in need of more training she is well on the way.

For some reason Alex and Bella like one little chair in the dining room, and they sit on it together. Also Bella likes to sit on Wayne's lap or mine.
We are so happy to have Bella. She's a delight.
